Nature Coast Chapter
Citrus/Hernando County
Florida
Discover the WCR Difference
We´re an organization of Real Estate professionals.
Our Chapter was chartered in July of 2003. Our Chapter consists of REALTORS® and Affiliates from Citrus and Hernando Counties and is open to both Women and Men.
General Membership meetings are commonly held the second Tuesday of
every month. Our monthly meetings are fun, educational and a great place
to network with REALTORS® from other Counties.
At each meeting we have an educational program and a buffet lunch.
A sampling of our programs are Negotiating Strategies and Practice, Networking and Referrals, Organizational Performance Management, Personal Performance Management, and Cultural Differences in Buying and Selling.
Every year we have some type of fund raiser which enables us to attend State, National and Regional meetings as well as bring in speakers and programs to our Chapter. We also have some type of Social Event each year that is open to all REALTORS® and Affiliates looking to join our Chapter.
REALTORS® and Affiliates are encouraged to attend one of our luncheon meetings to see what we are about and have to offer. If you are looking to expand your business and obtain personal growth we encourage you to join us and see why we are in the top 25 Womens Organization's in the country.
Our Membership Promise "If" If you decide to Participate, even if only in a small way... We will help you define and reach your next level of achievement. If you attend chapter meetings... We will help you acquire new skills to meet the changing environment. If you make it a point to sit with people you don't know... We will increase your referral business and , sometimes become friends for life. If you commit to attending at least one state or regional conference... We will show you role models who inspire and mentor. If you volunteer for something... We will give you meaningful, satisfying work that fits your schedule. If you keep in touch with other members... We will encourage you when you are down and cheer you on when you succeed. If you commit to attending one national meeting... We will amaze you with the power of the total WCR experience. |
History of Women's Council of Realtors® |
Early Years A Women's Division had already been created in 1924 by the California Real Estate Association. Fourteen years later, 1938 National President Joseph Catherine encouraged the formation of a national Women’s Council after being impressed by the California group.
Click Here for an excerpt about Women’s Council’s early years from Jeffrey M. Hornstein’s book A Nation of REALTORS®. Women’s Council Today In 1998, WCR created an annual Leadership Academy for incoming local chapter presidents (adding state presidents-elect in 2006). With its in-depth chapter management training, the Academy was recognized with the prestigious Leadership Development Trophy in Chapter Relations from the American Society of Association Executives in its first year. With regular networking and educational programs delivered at the local chapter level, which are designed to keep members on top of an evolving market, it’s small wonder that WCR members collectively generate more than $100 million in commissions annually. |
